Gallivan, Gallivan & O’Melia is committed to supporting and assisting individuals and organizations in the local communities where we live and work, and the greater international community at large. We contribute our professional skills and substantial resources in cases and projects that assist non profits in need of financial and consulting support. Driven by the interests of our membership, we support diverse social causes, promote national and international charitable entities, and provide legal representation in projects locally and nationally that are pro bono publico (“for the public good”). Described below are just a few examples of the myriad of charitable endeavors we have undertaken this past year.
Representative Pro Bono Work
- Representing detained immigrants seeking asylum or other forms of relief through the Northwest Immigrants Rights Project.
- Providing electronic discovery consulting services.
Supporting Nonprofits
- Providing technical expertise and document management and retrieval services to the Library of Congress on their efforts to create a digital archive of the dot com era.
- Partnering promotion with Tis Best Charity Gift cards which supports over 250 nonprofit regional and international nonprofit organizations.
Our Accomplishments on Behalf of Others
In the past year, our members have donated thousands of hours of their time to civic, charitable and nonprofit organizations as diverse as serving at local homeless shelters and food banks, to providing employment and training opportunities to asylum seekers. The balance of of our time and effort devoted to supporting charitable causes is unique to a firm of our size.
