Robert Powell leads the GGO security and forensic practices and is the manager of the NY office where he directs consulting operations in New York and the Eastern United States. Mr. Powell brings more than 15 years of direct experience in the legal and technical aspects of information security.
Robert has worked principally in enterprise information security, forensics and incident response. As a consultant to corporations and government agencies, Robert has provided forensic, information security, network infrastructure, and litigation support services worldwide. In addition to investigating fraud and abuse for large service providers in South America and several Fortune 500 manufacturing firms, he has conducted comprehensive security audits, application design reviews, network performance analyses, and specialized assessments of posture for discovery, due diligence, and pending litigation.
Robert has lead multi-disciplinary teams assisting global customers in banking, finance, and telecommunications industries to develop information security strategies to architect and implement secure business infrastructures including Application and Web Servers, PKI / Encryption, VPN, Firewalls, Routers / Phone Switches / Network Equipment.
Robert holds Professional Certifications in Information Security received with emphasis on legal, forensic, and enterprise security management issues – Certified Information Systems.
